The Course

The course is a circular route which winds its way long the River Cam using farmland, trails, footpaths and a small amount of quiet roads.  Each mile we be signed along the route.

Entry Fee

The entry fees as follows

Early Bird – £12.00 up to 1st July 2018

Standard Entry Fee – £15.00

Entry fees per person via the online booking system and subject to a booking fee.

T-Shirt can be purchased at the same time when entering the event. The cost of the T-Shirt is £8


There will be an information point in the start / finish area.

By Bike

Cycling to the venue is an ideal way to arrive without the hassle of parking a car.  There are a number of cycle routes throughout Cambridge with Routes 11 and 51 going very close to the venue.  We will ensure there is somewhere to park and lock your bike.


For those attending the event by car, we recommend that you park at the Newmarket Road Park & Ride facility and then walk to Church Street, Fen Ditton. It is approximately 1 mile and a 15 minutes to walk to the venue. The cost of the Park & Ride is £1 per vehicle.

There are limited of parking available at the Fen Ditton Recreation Ground at £3 per vehicle. Please note that there is only one entrance and exit to the recreation ground and will only be opened once the last competitor has finished.

Please do not park on surrounding roads or block access to residence driveways.

Car Keys

If you wish to leave your car keys somewhere secure, please take them to the information point.  We will tag them with your race number and keep hold until you have finished. You will only be able to collect your keys from the information point after the race but you must have your race number with you to collect them.


Although we cannot guarantee the security of your bags, there will be a manned baggage area for you to leave your bags. If you have travelled by car, it will be safer to leave your bags and valuables in your car boot.


There are no changing facilities at the venue. You should arrive in your running clothes but please bring spare clothing with you should you get wet. Do not go home in any damp clothing.

What to Wear?


You can wear thing thing you wish but we suggest technical breathable fabrics such as a synthetic T-shirt or long sleeve shirt on your upper body. The weather could be hot and sunny and these materials will wick away sweat and dry quickly.


Off-road running shoes would be ideal for the varied terrain but a normal road running shoe will be suitable if you do not have an off-road shoe.

iPod, MP3′s?

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when competing. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos, iPod’s and other MP3 players. The event organisers cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from running with such equipment.


The event is a fund raising event.  We will record every finishers time and race position from start gun to finish.  The results will be posted on our website as soon as possible after the race.

First Aid/Medical

Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions that would place your health in danger. Please note – do not take part if you are feeling unwell as this can be extremely dangerous. Please seek expert medical advice if you have any health concerns prior to the race.


Toilets are located in the Start and finish area.


Water will be available on the course and at the finish. Please bring your own water to drink prior to the start.  Water will be supplied in compostable cups. These cups comply with EN13432 which is the European standard for compostability.

Food & Drink

A variety of items will be available for purchase within the Start / Finish area.


The first 3 men & first 3 women across the line will be awarded prizes
